Rome, day four

This was the grocery store we went to a couple of times. What we thought was interesting was that it was closed all day on Sundays.

On the opposite side of the Piazza di Spagna

The girl showcasing the first McDonalds in Italy.

Where we enjoyed a couple of CBOs.

The Via Condotti

The Girl was sad I misplaced my wallet for the next couple of hours, on purpose.

There were these guys on just about every corner. Chestnuts, roasted.

Breakdancers.

Small flea market we walked through.

The Spanish Steps

Sitting on the steps

From there we walked to the Trevi Fountain

I didn't know until visiting, but a traditional legend holds that if you throw a coin into the fountain, you're ensured a return to Rome. Toos 'em with your right hand over your left shoulder into the fountain.

Then we saw this. Yes folks, a hot priest calendar. The Girl almost got it, and was sad later on because she hadn't.

Back to the Pantheon, this time it was open. There is only one source of light in the building, a hole in the middle of the dome. No glass covering, just open air.

We sat and watched these guys for a while. There are people dressed as gladiators everywhere. They'll walk up to you, try and get you to take a picture with them, then ask you for money. It was amazing how many people thought they did this for free.

Back to the hotel

Then out for some dinner.

Subway back to the hotel

This was on the wall of the station nearest the hotel. We regularly said, 'Hi'

View from the window of our room

Our last night in Rome. The next morning we take a train to Florence.

Chestnuts! Barcelona was also filled with the weird costumed people. I want to rent a costume and start doing that on the weekends near my house, see how much money I can get.

Gorgeous! And it's really too bad about the handily misplaced wallet. The girl could have been very fashionable.

1. Why didn't she get a hottest priest calendar? I think that's some funny stuff!
2. What are you guys eating with your McDonald's? Is it salad?
3. Did you buy The Girl some Jimmy Choos? :)

Great pictures, thanks for sharing them with us.

TC - Ha! She actually regrets not buying it :)

Fluffycat - I am thinking you wouldn't get too much. Maybe a lot of funny looks though!

Tabbie - Key word, 'could'

OK Chick -
1. She thought she could get it somewhere else also, I think?
2. Yep, salad. You could get that instead of fries.
3. No, sadly, I misplaced my wallet during that time.
